Elementor is one of the best page builders for WordPress. It’s user-friendly, powerful, and its performance has improved steadily with each update. However, like any plugin, occasional minor bugs can appear. Recently, I encountered one while testing a website on mobile devices—an image wasn’t showing up.
When I inspected the issue, I noticed the image path was incorrect. Instead of pointing to:
wp-content/uploads/2025/09/
It was pointing to:
wp-content/uploads/2025/09/elementor/thumbs/
That “elementor/thumbs” directory didn’t exist on my hosting, which caused the image to disappear on mobile.
After some troubleshooting, I discovered the cause: I had previously set a custom image in the Elementor Image widget. Even when I switched the image size to “Large” or other options, the incorrect path persisted.
The fix was simple:
I added a new Image widget, reinserted the same image, and deleted the old one. The issue was immediately resolved.
It’s a small bug, but I hope sharing this helps others save time if they encounter the same problem. If you like my post, please consider supporting my work by buying me a coffee (via card or PayPal).
