Recently I wrote several posts related to DataTable plugin. The latest one was “How to filter data in DataTable using Ajax in CodeIgniter“. This filter solution will fit to the big data. When the end user needs to view the data, they just filter only the data they needs to view.
In this post, we will fetch all data and render them on the page. We will add the individual column filtering in the DataTable.
In this example, we will add the sample data directly in the HTML file. Since we will focus on the individual column filtering.

</script>In order to use the DataTable plugin, you need to include the jquery core file which is dependency of DataTable plugin. Then you include the DataTable plugin next.
In the JS code above, you will see we clone the first row from the thead tag and add the input text for each cell. Also, we clone the first row from the tfoot tag and again add the input text for each cell.
Next, we initiate the DataTable plugin to your table which is the datatable id.
